Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how SEOBINARY LLC ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you or your child use the Miyao mobile application ("App") and related services. We built Miyao for Muslim children ages 7–12, and we take their privacy as seriously as their parents do.

1. Who We Are

2. Our Privacy Promise to Children & Parents

• We do not show ads of any kind inside the App.
• We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
• We do not require an account to use the App's lessons.
• We do not include any chat, social, or user-generated content features.
• We do not use behavioral advertising or cross-app tracking SDKs.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Information you provide

If you choose to subscribe to launch notifications via our website, we collect your email address. If you contact support, we collect the contents of your message and your reply address.

3.2 Information collected automatically

When the App is used, we may collect anonymous, aggregate diagnostic information (such as crash reports and basic usage events) to keep the App stable. This data is not tied to a specific child's identity.

3.3 Locally-stored learning progress

Lesson progress, XP, badges, streaks, and audio practice are stored locally on the device using Apple's SwiftData. This information stays on the device and is not transmitted to our servers.

3.4 Microphone

Some Voice Practice activities record short audio clips on the device so your child can hear themselves. These recordings are processed on-device and are not uploaded.

4. How We Use Information

• To deliver the App's lessons and features.
• To diagnose crashes and improve App stability.
• To send launch updates only if you opted in via our website.
• To respond to your support requests.

5. Children's Privacy (COPPA / GDPR-K)

Miyao is designed for children. We comply with the U.S. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the EU GDPR rules for children. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. The App does not require children to provide any identifying information to use it.

6. Subscriptions & Payments

If you purchase a subscription, billing is handled entirely by Apple via the App Store. We do not see or store your payment details. Subscription status may be verified anonymously through Apple's StoreKit framework.

7. Third-Party Services

We minimize third-party services. Where used:

• Apple App Store / StoreKit — for distribution and subscription billing.
• Apple CloudKit (optional, only if you enable iCloud sync) — to back up local progress to your private iCloud account.

8. Data Retention

Locally-stored learning data remains on the device until you delete the App. Email addresses collected for launch notifications are retained until you unsubscribe.

9. Your Rights

You may request access, correction, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you by emailing privacy@miyaokids.com. To delete on-device data, simply uninstall the App.

10. Security

We use industry-standard safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS). No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect what little data we do hold.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced inside the App or via this page. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision.
